After pick from Chandigarh Airport/Railway station, start your wonderful vacation to Himachal starting from Shimla. Reach Shimla within 4 hours and check into the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay.

DAY 2:   SHIMLA – LOCAL S/S – SHIMLA

DAY 3:   SHIMLA – KUFRI (22 KMS/45 MINS) – SHIMLA

DAY 06 SANGLA – CHITKUL- (20 KM.)

Today morning after breakfast, visit to Chitkul village.  Chitkul is the last inhabited village situated near Indo-Tibet border at a distance of 20 km from Sangla. This village lies on the right bank of River Baspa. DAY 07: CHITKUL –KALPA (49 KM.) 2670 MTRS

Today morning after breakfast, check-out from the Hotel & drive to Kalpa – District Headquarter of Kinnar & once a favorite haunt of Lord Dalhousie. Arrive Kalpa & Check-in to the Hotel. Kalpa was known as Chini back in the days when it was the Regional Capital. Kalpa has changed little in the last 500 years. It is said that as & when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. Each & every corner of Kalpa facing Jorkanden & the Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a 79 foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes the colour as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. Post Lunch rest in Hotel & in evening visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 08: KALPA LOCAL

After breakfast we will visit the Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are famous for apricots and apples. The finest view of the Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000 metres) can be had from here. This is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light. Kalpa is situated at an altitude of 2759 m from the sea level, on the old Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 260 km from Shimla. Earlier it was the District Headquarter of Kinnaur. It is 14 KMS. It has all the characteristics of a heritage village. DAY 09: KALPA –NAKO (117 KM.) 3662 MTRS

Today morning after breakfast check-out from Kalpa Hotel & drive to Nako. En-route visit Nako Lake – Kinnaur’s most picturesque hamlets. Nako is slated to be declared a heritage village built around a small lake & has an important Buddhist Gompa & a small Temple. A footprint like impression on a rock is ascribed to the saint Guru Padmasambhava.

DAY 10 : NAKO – TABO (63 KMS)

Today morning after early Breakfast, participate in the morning prayers. Tabo Monastery constructed in 996 AD; – not just in Spiti but in the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist world is called Chogs – Khor [‘Doctrinal Circle’ or ‘Doctrinal Enclave’]. It is a complex that holds 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a Monk’s Chamber & an extension that houses the Nun’s Chamber. On the sheer cliff-face above the enclave are a series of Caves, used as dwellings by the Monks & includes an Assembly Hall. The monastery contains large number of Scriptures & Pieces of Art, Wall Painting & Stucco. There is also a modern Gompa & Painting School founded by the Dalai Lama.

 

DAY 11: TABO – KAZA (48 KMS) MTRS

Today morning after early Breakfast, drive to Kaza – the Capital of Spiti Valley. En-route visit Dhankar Gompa, the traditional Capital of Spiti, sits pretty on a hilltop. The hill-top Fort that overlooks the Spiti Valley also used to serve a Jail in old days. Today, more than 160 Lamas reside here. A Statue of Dhyan Buddha where four complete figures of Buddha sit back to back is the main attraction of this more than 7TH Century old Monastery.

Day 12: KAZA- KUNZUM PASS-CHANDAR TAL   (75 KMS)

Day 13:   CHANDAR TAL  -–ROTHANG PASS – MANALI. (200  KMS)

DAY 14:   MANALI – KULLU – MANIKARAN – KASOL  (85 KMS/ 4 HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Kullu to enjoy thrilling River Rafting (on your own expense), to visit World famous Pashmina Shawl Factory and explore the local Market. Later proceed to Manikaran enroute cover Vaishno Devi Temple. Manikaran is an important pilgrimage site as it offers Religious Ram Temple & Impressive Gurudwara (It is famous for hot Water spring which can boil Rice, Dal etc. within 5 min which impresses each & every Visitor). DAY 15: MANALI – CHANDIGARH  (320 KMS)
